Blue bowl on red glaze - mesh pattern
Blue bowl on red glaze - mesh pattern
A regular and symmetrical pattern for a three-pronged braiding effect. A gradient appears on the outer walls, generated by the temperature of the enamel on the lip of the bowl and the other parts in the oven.
This bowl was turned then stamped by hand, each pattern requires 9 applications of 4 or 5 different tools. This bowl gives the impression of being covered with a sailor's rope in degraded colors. Blue enamel flourishes on the inside walls and lip of the bowl, with lovely shades of blue and sometimes white.
