Blue vase on red clay - origami pattern

A regular and symmetrical pattern, a game of pyramids and stars, mountains and valleys... an origami game.

This vase was wheel-thrown then stamped by hand, each design requires 8 applications of 5 different tools. Fold, unfold, adjust, repeat. A juice of oxydes has been applied to the patterns to soften and illuminate its surface.

Diameter Ø 12 cm and height ↕ 17 cm
Weight ~ 700g.

Materials :
Glaze, earthenware.

Maintenance method :
Clean by hand with clear water or with a small amount of soap. Can be occasionally put in the dishwasher. Use a soft brush to clean the patterns if necessary.
